4th March 2018

This Sunday after the 6.00 pm mass we will have the Gospel Band - Open Secret performing on the 7 Words of Jesus. Kindly note, there will be a collection to defray the expenses also note there will be no parking on the premises at the evening mass this Sunday.

The English and Konkanni Charismatic groups will have a combined prayer service at 7.45 pm on Thursday. The speaker is Fr Henry D'Souza SVD.

The Friday evening programme will be as usual. The Stations of the Cross will be in Konkanni at 6.30 pm followed by mass, then the English Stations by Alcoholic Anonymous Group and then the Lenten Catechism by Deacon Ivan. The topic is Happy Family Relations.

The Holy Father has requested Friday 9th March as a day of prayer and adoration. The theme is from Psalm 130: "With you is forgiveness" . Accordingly there will be a night vigil from 9.00 pm on Friday to 6.00 am on Saturday. That is the vigil will conclude with the 6.00 am mass

Admissions are now open to St Margaret's Teachers Training College in Byculla. Kindly look up the notice board for details of the above.

Our Church Office staff - Vitaline will be on medical leave from the 9th to the 22nd March. We request your patience for certificates and other office related matters.

Stacy our Altar Server dislocated her knee as she was about to serve at mass in our Church on Wednesday evening. We request your prayers for her healthy and speedy recovery.


11th March 2018

Next Sunday our 4 Parish Choirs - namely the Children, Youth, Parish and the Vinayalaya Jesuits will sing for us in our Church after the 6.00 pm mass. Join us in appreciating our choirs who sing for us regularly and make our liturgies melodious.

The all Bombay Walking Pilgrimage to pray for peace will be held on 17th March. His Eminence Oswald Cardinal Gracias will flag off the Pilgrimage. For details please see the notice board.

Holy Spirit hospital will be organizing awareness programme on Cholesterol on 16th march, for details please look up the notice board.

18th March 2018

This Sunday our 4 Parish Choirs will perform in our Church after the 6.00 pm mass. Do join our choirs to celebrate Holy Family.

Confessions begin from Monday the 19th March to Wednesday the 21st March from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Next Sunday is Palm Sunday:
  • Palms will be blessed at 8.45 am on the Church Grounds.
  • Mass will be at 9.00 am. Which means there will be NO 8.30 and 9.30 mass.
  • The traditional loaf of bread will be blessed and given to each family by our SCC animators.
  • We request you not to bring vehicles to the 9. am mass on Sunday.

Next Sunday our Youth will put up a Shadow Play on the Passion of Our Lord. The play will be on our Church Grounds. Kindly note, no vehicles are permitted on the ground that evening.

Saturday 24th March is Earth Hour. We join millions around the world in switching off the non-essential lights for one hour. This is a youth initiative of our parish, kindly support this initiative.




25th March 2018

This Sunday is Palm Sunday. Palms will be blessed at 8.45 am on the Church Grounds. At the family meal the bread which is distributed and blessed is to be broken and shared. At the 9.00 am mass we will have an offering of the bread by the 15 SCC animators.

The Shadow play on the Passion of Jesus, this Sunday by our Youth will staged on the Ashankur ground after the 6.00 pm mass.

Holy Week Services
Maundy Thursday: Mass at 4.30 pm in the church and 7.30 pm on the Grounds
Good Friday: Solemn Service at 6.00 pm
Holy Saturday: Rosary at 7.30 am in the Church
Easter Vigil Mass at 10 pm (subject to clearance of the Police).

Being with Jesus on Maundy Thursday will begin at 9.30 pm in our Church.

Stations of the Cross on Good Friday at: 7.30 am Konkanni, 8.30 am Children, 9.30 am Youth and General.

Please note that there will be 2 collections for Good Friday. The Cross collection will go for the up-keep of the Churches of the Holy Land.

Masses on Easter Sunday will be at 6.30 am, 7.30 am, 8.30 am and 9.30 am. There will be NO 10.30 am and 6.00 pm mass.

Kindly note that on Good Friday the veneration of the Body of Jesus will be on the School Grounds and later brought to the Church. This is because of the dangerous road situation for our seniors and also the long que that has to stand outside the Church. We request your co-operation in trying out this new approach.

The Divine Mercy Novena will begin at 3.00 pm on Good Friday and after the 7.30 am Holy Saturday. Further timings will be announced at the Novena.
