1st July 2018

The Parish Council meets this Sunday the 1st July at 10.30 am. The SCC will meet on Monday the 2nd July at 7.45 pm.

The 1st Friday Adoration will be conducted by the Liturgy Committee.

The Heads and their Assistants of the PCOA will meet next Sunday the 8th July at 10.30 am in the Parish Hall. Please ensure your presence.

Sunday School, Confirmation and 1st Communion Classes have begun. Children wishing to receive 1st Communion in 2020 (that is students in the 3rdstd) are requested to register their names this year.

1st Communion is on the 5th January and Confirmation is on the 20th January 2019.

In view of our Jubilee Year, the Parish is organizing a Professional- Personal Empowerment Programme in our Parish. The Programme is directed by Fr. Patrick D'Mello of Marol. For details look up the board.

This Sunday our Sisters working in the Missions will sell their herbal products. Do patronise their stall.

Our Parish has renewed its Finance Committee. Accordingly the new committee is Alroy Fernandes, Conan Pereira, Irene Saldanha and Xavier Sanchez. The parish wishes to thank Fiona Rodrigues, Michael D'Souza and John Fernandes for their faithful services. The finance committee is an official body of the parish.

Mark this date: Holy Family 75th Jubilee Year begins on the 31st July, the feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The feast mass will be on Tuesday the 31st July at 7.30 pm. Please be there.

Registrations for the Holy Family Foot-ball tournament, open from this Sunday the 8th July to 17th July. We look forward to see our parishioners showcase their footballing talent as well as those keen on owning and auctioning to form their team. The tournament begins on the 4th August.

In view of the ban on plastics the parish caterers will meet on Monday at 9.30 am in the Parish Hall.

Holy Family School is organizing a Blood Donation Drive next Sunday - 15th July, from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. This will be in the School Hall. Please support this effort.

Repair Update:
  • Our bore wells are cleaned and re-charged with the rainwater.
  • Steps leading to the cemetery are fitted with railings
  • A strong net is being fitted on the Sai-Palace Wall for our children to play ball.
  • The sit-out area adjoining Kononia is now being tiled
Our cross TDR has reached its final step, please whisper a prayer that it comes through.

The Novena for the feast of St. Ignatius begins on Monday the 23rd July.

Mark this date: Holy Family75th Jubilee Year begins on the 31st July, the feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The feast mass will be on Tuesday the 31st July at 7.30 pm. Please be there.

Registrations for the Holy Family Foot-ball tournament are now open. The tournament begins on the 4th August.

The ban on plastics and other such items has been discussed by Parish Authorities, Zone Authorities and our Parish Caterers. Certain guidelines have now been laid down. We request our parishioners to follow these guidelines and to engage our own Parish Caterers for the occasion.

A part of our garden is slightly damaged as we were forced to cut branches of the rain tree which was tilting dangerously towards Sai Palace. The damage will soon be repaired.

22nd July 2018

WE GOT IT: On Thursday the 19th July at about 4.30 pm after close to 16 years of a struggle, we finally got the TDR for our road. The parish thanks Maintenance Committee, and the many who helped, especially Mr. Francis D'Souza, for the tireless effort in getting this through. The faith of Holy Family shines in.

Our perseverance to see that Justice Prevails. The dignified and prayerful way we shifted our Cross.

To honour this blessing we will have a Divine Mercy Rosary at the Cross on the 31st July at 7.00 pm. The feast mass will follow at 7.30 pm.

The inauguration of the Football Tournament will be on Sunday the 29th July after the 6.00 pm mass. You are requested to kindly remove your vehicles after the mass.

Please follow the guidelines set by the Parish for serving snacks on the premises. Once again you are requested to engage the parish caterers.
